North One Garden Centre has been voted "boutique" Garden Centre of the Year. North One was short-listed in this category from numerous entries countrywide. And we’re all absolutely thrilled. This is the highest accolade any Garden Centre can achieve and it’s an acknowledgement of the fantastic team spirit and hard work put in by all the staff. Below is the citation we received. WINNER - "BOUTIQUE" GARDEN CENTRE OF THE YEAR  North One Garden Centre’s unique offering places it at the fore-front of original thinking in the industry, both for the potential it shows for city centre garden retailing and for the commitment of owner Beryl Henderson and her staff to make a success of a difficult concept.
North One has placed excellence of customer service, product quality and visual presentation at the centre of its ethos, backed by staff who are both passionate and knowledgeable about gardening and keen to pass this on to the firm’s customers. With a site of just 425 square metres, North One cannot be described as among the nation’s largest centres, but it can be labelled as one of the most innovative. With such small display space, the company has to take a huge amount of care over what it stocks, with every plant, pot and product selected with extreme thought ……….. It is frequently cited as a unique and inviting garden outlet that is well worth a visit.  North One Garden Centre has not only been a Garden Centre of the Year Winner but we have been awarded 17th place in the February 09 edition of the Independent Magazine's "50 Best Garden Centres in the Country". We were also featured in Vogue's supplement of Best Retail Outlets, the Guardian Interiors Directory and Time Out London's 100 Best Shops.
